TP, Great Job!
IMHO, the authorties should do this more often rather than just during festive seasons…

SINGAPORE: A six-hour islandwide Traffic Police operation on
Christmas Day has resulted in 109 motorists being detained for traffic
offences.
These include speeding and illegally modifying vehicles.
14 of the motorists were caught for drink driving.
The operations commenced at 11.30pm on Christmas eve and ended at 5.30am on Christmas Day.
Of those caught, 62 had exceeded their speed limit.
One driver was caught without having a valid licence and another for driving while under disqualification.
Turning to those caught for drink driving, the Traffic Police emphasise that drink driving is a very serious offence.
Motorists convicted will face severe penalties.
First time drink-driving offenders face a fine of between S$1,000 and S$5,000 or a jail term of up to six months.
Repeat offenders face a mandatory jail term of up to three years.
Motorists are warned that even if the alcohol content in their
blood or breath does not go beyond the legal limit, they can still be
charged for drink driving if the driver’s unable to control the vehicle
properly. - CNA/so
