Other Party’s Accident Picts
The car’s repair cost came to 3.2k…
*My bike (Not lorry) repairs came to only 200 bucks.
Here’s the car’s picts.
I am not relieved to see that these picts are in fact very
accurate / aligned to the damage that was caused that faithful day… But to be
honest… I have seen worse damage than this and cost a fraction of the this!!
I was advised by the insurance company that there will be a loading on my next
premium if the claim was 3k & above…
Also if there was to be a court case the bill will come to maybe about 4k…
& the person who loses the case will have to foot it. Insurance company who
reps me / the owner of the car + his lawyer + workshop.
Last week my sis-in-law had a slight accident with her corolla, the bonnet was
bent quite badly, the structure touched the radiator (Thank God), the grill was
smashed & the bumper cracked.
Guess what was the damage.

How can this light assembly cost so much??

To be fair, here’s a rough break down of the total bill.
1.9k for parts & repairs
1.9k?? what did he change?? The whole car’s back??
700 for car rental…………
700???
For 700, I can get a decent car for 2 weeks!!! Or did the workshop give him a
Merc or Alpha to drive?
Spray Paint Job??
2 Weeks??
They must be kidding!!
My sis-in-law’s bonnet repairs too 1 day, 1 day for change of parts, spray
paint etc…. 1 day……..
I am quite pissed cos it’s parties like this that wanna make a quick buck from such situation. (usually the owner is quite oblivious of the situation). Where prices and claims are super inflated so that they can get more from the insurance company. But who suffers in the end??
Not just the person who is paying for the claims… but everyone. Why? Cos these are the reasons why insurance costs are going up. That’s why IDAC is there for… But this also shows what so may workshops are pulling out from IDAC.
But after this… I will insist for an insurance company that partners with IDAC.
The picts are there… nothing is hidden or withheld… It is so tempting to be secular about this… I could have turn the table around him and said what he told me…
He apologized and said that he had to ebrake cos of a bicycle… *the cars on
my right moved off… what bicycle??
But I told him to forget about it and save the hassle and claim it from my
insurance…. This is what I got??
Sometime in situations like this, I really wanna make sure that I will not be
pushed around but I dun think that Christians should act like that esp for a
Christian Biker. I believe God see me through this as he did so many times.
